Project Overview

This basement experienced widespread water intrusion that saturated carpeting, padding, and underlying structural materials. Immediate action was required to prevent further damage and reduce the risk of mold growth.

Inspection & Moisture Detection

Upon arrival, our team performed a detailed inspection using thermal imaging cameras and moisture meters to identify both visible and hidden moisture.

Thermal scans revealed temperature differences across the flooring and lower wall sections, confirming that moisture had migrated beyond the surface. Readings in the carpet and subfloor showed elevated saturation levels that required immediate removal and drying.

Water Extraction & Material Removal

We began by extracting standing water and removing affected carpet and padding to fully expose the subfloor. This step allowed for proper airflow and prevented trapped moisture from causing long term damage or mold.

Containment barriers were installed where needed to isolate impacted areas and maintain controlled drying conditions.

Structural Drying Process

Commercial grade air movers and dehumidifiers were strategically placed throughout the basement to accelerate evaporation and reduce humidity levels.

Wall Cavity Drying & Monitoring
